Bauer is 6 Months

This boy is a BIG boy!  He is sitting up now and and is so proud of himself!  He likes loves his jar food and isn't picky at all!  You cant barely get the spoon in the jar and to his mouth fast enough! He is not going to be a hard baby to wean off his bottle!

He weighs 16 pounds (25%),  and is in the 75% in his length and 25% in his head circumference.  Sounds like he is going to be tall and skinny!

He is such a joy and is so happy!  His favorite time of the day is when you go into his room first thing in the morning when he wakes up, he kicks his legs really fast and squeals like a pig he is so excited to see you!  That is the best part of getting up each day is to see that smiling face and cute little dimples!

He is still not a good sleeper and fights it like you wouldn't believe!  He loves his cat naps!

He loves blowing bubbles, watching Bubble Guppies with Addy and most of all loves it when Addy plays peek-a-boo with him!  He is really ticklish and laughs so hard he snorts!

Bauer has also officially found the infamous "birdie" on the exersaucer. Addy loved sucking on the birdies hair when she was little and now he has found it too!  Addy had much more patience for the bird, Bauer wants to rip the thing off and eat his whole head!

Here are the two of them at the same age!

Mothers Day

I had a great day getting breakfast in bed on Saturday and ventured out to the beautiful Arboretum and just spent some great quality time with my two wonderful kids!  Sunday we went to brunch at Bravo and spent the day with my mom and sister!  I feel so lucky to be Addy and Bauer's mommy that sometimes I have to pinch myself to realize that this really is MY life!!

Something I always want my kids to remember:

"I wanted you more than you ever will know,
so I sent love to follow wherever you go.
Its as high as you wish it. Its quick as an elf.
You'll never outgrow it...it stretches itself!
So climb any mountain...
Climb up to the sky,
My love will find you, my love can fly!
Make a big splash, go out on a limb! My love will find you, my love can swim!
It never gets lost, never fades, never ends....
If your working, or playing, or sitting with friends.
You can dance 'til your dizzy, paint till your blue
there's no place, not one, that my love cant find you.
And if someday you're lonely,
or someday you're sad,
or you strike out in baseball,
or think you've been bad....
just life up your face, feel the wind in your hair.
That's me, my sweet baby, my love is right there.
In the green of the grass...in the smell of the sea...
in the clouds floating by.....at the top of a tree....
in the sound crickets make at the end of the day.....
You are loved, you are loved, you are loved, they all say!
My love is so high, and so wide and so deep,
its always there, even when you're asleep.
So hold your head high and dont be afraid to march to the front of your own parade.
If your still my small babe, or all the way grown, my promise to you is you're never alone.
You are my angel, my darling, my star and my love will find you, wherever you are!"
-Nancy Tillman

"They know me in a way no one ever has, they open me to things I never knew existed. They drive me to insanity and push me to my depths, they are the beat of my heart, the pulse of my veins, and the energy in my soul. They are my kids!"

I love you to the moon and back!

I wouldn't be the mommy I am without my wonderful mommy!  I now completely understand and appreciate what a hard yet wonderful job it truly is and couldn't be the kind of mom I am without her! She truly is the water in my ocean, the horizon to my sky, and the icing on my cupcake!  I love you mommy dearest!

On a funny note....this is what Addy loved most of all about Mothers Day...making Daddy, Bauer and PaPa wear her pretty headbands!  (please dont kill me for posting this dad!)
